26.+27.09.25—Plié

Plié is a dance piece created by dancer/choreographer Yosuke Kusano and architect/origami artist Maki Oishi. It is also a 45-minute dialogue between a dancer and a single sheet of origami paper.

On stage lies a three-by-three-meter sheet, resembling a quiet pond at night. As the dancer moves, the paper begins to fold, taking on its own form, space, and lines.
The body calls to the paper; the paper echoes and responds, carrying voices, words, and memories within its fragile surface.
